Middle School Transition

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSITION INFORMATION:

Okay, fifth grade parents.  Take a deep breath

1.      JOUETT REPRESENTATIVES VISITED BROADUS WOOD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 30- Our students had a great visit with Ms. Baylor and Mr. Hendrix.  There was a lot of fantastic information shared and a lot of their questions were answered
2.      5TH GRADE STUDENTS VISITED JOUETT ON FRIDAY, APRIL 14. – the students had a great time visiting Jouett.  I think that most of them feel more comfortable about transitioning into Jouett next year
3.      COMBINATION LOCKSall of the students have had an opportunity to practice opening combination locks to get ready for Jouett lockers.  This is one of the most stressful transition experiences for the students.  If you want to help relieve this stress, buy your student a cheap lock and help them practice until they feel comfortable opening it.
4.      FINISHING OUT THE YEAR STRONG – it is really important to encourage your students to continue to focus on finishing out 5th grade as strong as possible.
